Responsible for developing discussion topic and presenting to small group that meets regularly. I facilitate the discussion, paying attention to the direction of the discussion and maintaining its focus. Requires a high level of empathy for others and good listening skills helped by my wide range of experience with people. Shelley is a self started and well suited for the duties she undertook. She is a quick study and fearless in new situations. Shelley has also worked well teaming up with others to accomplish larger tasks for the congregation and retains the respect of a leader.

As a volunteer for Season's, I provide emotional, informational and spiritual support to a person who is dying and their loved ones. I also honor the sacred nature of the dying process, while normalizing it as part of the human lifecycle. The goal is to create a conscious experience that helps all feel complete.

Taught natural childbirth classes as an independent contractor for 8 years using the curriculum of HypnoBirthing. Locations included Yale New Haven Hospital, Griffin Hospital and St Mary's Hospital as well as at clients homes where I taught private classes. Educated over 250 couples in this unique philosophy of birth.

Both as an employee and a volunteer, worked in various capacities. Director of the Parent Support and Education Center from 1987-1988. Ran a support group for Parents Anonymous for 5 years, development a mentor program for new moms, taught parenting classes, trained other facilitators by co-facilitating the STEP classes.
