I love to explore. I walk with my camera, driven to find a scene to capture and present in a way that helps my friends and family see and feel what I did - to make them want to be there. As I go, I often find myself taking the paths that aren’t so well worn, where the flowers are brighter and the waters of a creek a little clearer, but still paths that take me where I can make that photo.Through time and professional growth, I’ve managed to explore a very exciting and diverse career path. Few start off in the graphics department of a TV station and are now a part of a strong team in healthcare. I’ve learned new skills along the way and honed old ones, but I’ve always found that my passion lies in creation - development, and strategic thinking. Whether I’m making a photo, developing a strategic plan that will align with visions and goals, designing a logo, or crafting an effective message, the product - something that will speak to an audience, inspire a team and produce a successful result – is my goal. I strive to create a positive, engaging work environment while coaching my team to be confident in decision making, and feel empowered to grow and learn while providing strong, effective feedback. Along my journey, I’ve attained a strong grasp of non-profit organizations, agency vision, and design, strategic planning in healthcare, marketing, fundraising, and overall direction. I’ve been successful in using my graphic design and communications skills to create strong messaging and awareness campaigns. I’ve been responsible for revenue-generating budgets averaging $3 million per year, maintained through positive partner relationships, and effective strategies. I'm also proud to share what I've learned along the way. Volunteering on the A Way Home Kamloops Board of Directors, and sharing what I've learned along the way has offered me a great opportunity to spread some great ideas and initiatives. As I continue along my path, I will continue to find creative solutions for success; planning and implementing as I go, while growing and learning, both as an individual and a leader.
