After graduating from Oregon State University with a bachelor's in education, I taught kindergarten in Mapleton, OR for a year and then married my high school sweetheart, LeRoy Moore. We moved to the Seattle area when he signed on with Boeing where he's still working as an engineer in their wind tunnel testing area. I taught school here in the area for sixteen years before we had our first and only child, Caitlyn. I quit teaching to be a full time mom, volunteered in her classrooms each year, and did some substitute teaching at her school. When she was in junior high and high school, I volunteered in the school libraries. I've always enjoyed children's liturature and learned a lot about young adult books while helping in the libraries for four years. Now that Caitlyn is in college, I've decided to turn my love of books in to a business. I started out in 2011 to build my company, Gazebo Books Publishing, and just recently changed the business name to Gazebo Gardens Publishing to incorporate three divisions: Dream Garden Publications --- children's booksCastle Garden Publications --- tween and young adult booksMoonlight Garden Publications --- books for ages 17 and upMy little independent publishing company is now up a running with several titles, and I plan to add several more titles each year.
