The credentialing process fully investigates a practitioner's professional and personal background, confirming training, experience and character, thereby vetting them to work in the hospital setting caring for patients. This position required not only attention-to-detail and investigative skills, but a finely-tuned gut instinct that told you when something just wasn't right. The prior ten years at the Health System were spent working my way up the ladder from Receptionist to Medical Secretary, Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant to a Vice-President, and learning the value of diligence, calculated risks, and motivation. Spent an extended summer pouring wine in a tasting room in Northern California. This afforded me the opportunity to chat with visitors, find out what experience they were looking for, and teach them a bit about our wine.
