Marking the 30th year I’ve participated in the US veterinary profession, I’ve enjoyed a career that has largely been focused on developing the people who are building their animal care careers and veterinary practices. Armed with wisdom from 20 years of veterinary practice management and team development experience, I enjoy a deeper focus on leader building; exploration of cultural dynamics and team resiliency. I am eager everyday to help veterinarians, and their health care teams, with business organization; communications; team/culture building; practice management and leadership development. I’ve enjoyed teaching and developing practice management education programs since 2009. I have provided practice managers and veterinarians with core essentials for their contemporary veterinary business management needs. Today, I lead and collaborate with our Patterson Veterinary University team as well as work with our organizations’ leadership team to collaborate/develop the Patterson Animal Health Companion Animal Sales Team’s training programs. Prior to joining Patterson in 2009, my consulting experiences helped veterinarians to increase their business and cultural capabilities and satisfaction. In my current role, I drive development of individuals and teams so that they are confident to serve their clients and businesses for rewarding and profitable personal and professional outcomes.I am an active member with VHMA. I was acknowledged by the association with The President’s Award in 2015. I’ve also been an active member of VetPartners and was also the 2014 VetPartners President. As a current Executive Leadership Doctoral student at University if Charleston, I am motivated to expand my capability and to contribute back to a profession, and world, that has given me opportunities beyond my imagination. Of my goals...I intend to work hard, make good friends, live/love life and help others be inspired and successful doing what they enjoy to do.
