Managed the build-up and implementation of $77 Million, 330,000 square foot new store build. This role included:• Hiring the implementation team. • Planning, phasing and creating timelines for project implementation.• Managing the day-to-day on-site operations, which involved overseeing multiple contractors, designers, carpenters, visual merchandisers, and graphics personnel.• Aligning with the external contractor, attending update meetings and overseeing the completion of store areas.• Overseeing external contactors for interior work and designs (including millwork).• Provided daily updates to project management, implementation teams, and incoming store management team.• Achieved the completion of the store on-time and on-budget for store opening date of September 27, 2017.

• Development of the new $77 Million, 330,000 square foot IKEA Halifax store.• Reviewed commercial briefs; provided input for clarity and adherence to guidelines.• Provided support for the conceptual store plans. • Hired IKEA planning team and new IKEA Halifax store team.• Partnered with internal project expansion group to define ways of planning, file structure, tendering for contractors, phasing and timelines for handover.• Partnered with Service Office function manager for rough and detail plans with checkpoints and signoffs of store plans including range presentation, store lay-outs, store communication and securing the IKEA brand identity.
