I am a school librarian who has worked in both public and private K-8 schools, within planning time as well as collaborative models. I have also worked with all ages at Park Ridge and Niles Public Libraries. I have led professional development workshops for librarians, most recently for Waukegan Public School K-12 librarians, based on my framework of Vision/Strategy/Action. My upcoming workshop series will be this fall at North Suburban Library System (www.nsls.info). In the next few years I want to grow our Chicago Area School Library Network (CASLN) group, which gives support and ideas to new and veteran K-8 school librarians.
