Helping migrants, refugees and internally displaced people access trusted services and accurate information and services – wherever they are.RefAid is the leading global app for refugees and migrants to find services available near them. We are currently operating in 31 countries across Europe, the US and Morocco. This year we are expanding into many countries in Africa. There are over 7,500 organizations and service providers using the platform to map, manage and publish their services.The RefAid mobile app has a very simple interface, with different service categories ranging from food, legal, health, shelter, toilets and showers, and more. Service providers and organizations use the trellyz platform to provide information about what they currently offer to refugees, migrants and asylum seekers, and this information is directly displayed in the app. The RefAid mobile app is a multi-lingual, central repository of trusted public and social services, from government, NGOs (local, national, international) and service providers. RefAid uses a holistic, cross-sector approach to service delivery and serves as an information distribution platform to provide target populations access to available social services through a self-service approach.

Leveraging experience in the digital entertainment business, with the goal of helping content creators monetize their fan base and content, Digital Fan Clubs was launched to give musicians, artists, and brands their own apps so they could communicate directly with their audiences and retain all data. We launched as Facebook started cutting off access to data and charging artists for access to the very fans they sent to the site. Our app creation platform allowed us to spin up individual apps in hours. But this was before Cambridge Analytica and the need for owning their own data was not so urgent. We used our app creation platform to create the RefAid app, so migrants and refugees could find the help they needed wherever they were, in response to the mounting crisis in Syria and the large numbers of migrants coming to Europe.

Founder of game changing digital entertainment site, all dig down, Shelley raised $10 million for the first digital entertainment site to legally bring together the best features from online stores, such as iTunes (but DRM free), and community sites (such as Facebook and MySpace), fusing the services, and improving upon them to create compelling user experiences that mirrored successful experiences in the brick and mortar world. The professional music and video content was combined with professional editorial content for the first time ever, to bring the on and offline worlds together. It went live with 100 Founding Artists & Bands, 10,000 official artist pages, 300,000 users in 2 weeks and support from the music industry. Sadly, competing with MySpace, Spotify and YouTube's illegal content use and superior funding, the company closed during the banking crisis in 2009 unable to raise the funding necessary to continue growing.

Founder of Shelley Taylor & Associates, the first website user interface/user experience company in Silicon Valley, launched in 1996. The research resulted in the creation of language and a framework of we UI, including the terms like global, local and contextual navigation, in addition to a "bible" of types of content that were required for each website audience. We advised on the development of many of the first corporate websites, including Cisco Systems, Netscape, Dell Computers, Sun Microsystems, BT and Microsoft. When e-commerce sites first began appearing we became notorious for identifying and labeling consumer diseases such as Post-Transaction Anxiety Disorder (PTAD), Shopping Cart Abandonment Syndrome (SCAS), blamed for the deaths of many ecommerce sites, and Digital Deficit Disorder (DDD), caused by poorly designed digital entertainment sites. The company's experience in this area influenced the model for many e-commerce extensions of brick and mortar stores.Extending our 16 years of UI/UE expertise we were the first company to develop a proprietary research methodology enabling us to advise companies on their user experience across web, interactive television and mobile devices. Our clients included some of the biggest and most popular digital entertainment innovators including AOL, Yahoo, MTV, NBC and many more.
