Will be leading/working with the phlebotomist on the night shift.

Greet patients, draw and process blood, attend meetings via Teams or office, pack and send out lab specimens, work on learning modules and keeping certificates up to date.

Responsible for a group of 8 phlebotomists in my region, monitoring their progress throughout the night, traveling to various locations throughout Georgia and Alabama collecting specimens, training new hires, interviewing potential candidates, doing QA's in the facilities, checking supplies, attending meetings, working closely with my supervisor to ensure that we provide the best service possible to our clients.

I travel a predetermined route to draw blood from patients in contracted locations for analysis and/or other medical purposes. Specimens are collected using proper protocol and technique. I also receive pre-collected specimens from client. I prepare specimens for transport to laboratory. I properly document all tasks according to protocol and then bag and deliver specimens to courier for transport to the lab.

Processed work orders, provided clients assistance with company website, and work orders. Provided support for clients wishing to renew yearly contracts and gave vendors information on types and amounts of payments to be disbursed. Determined charges for services requested, collected deposits or payments, or arranged for billing. Kept records of customer interactions or transactions by recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken. Checked to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems. Referred unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation. Completed contract forms, prepared change of address records, or issue service discontinuance orders via computer. Problem solving and support skills used to quickly and effectively get clients the service they need and lower calls in queue.

Planned, shopped and prepared nutritious meals for clients, performed housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, washing clothes, dishes and running errands. Transported clients to physicians'​ offices, bank, and outings with the company vehicle. Performed healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication. Prepared and maintained records of client progress and services performed, reported changes in client condition my immediate supervisor. Participated in case reviews, consulting with the team caring for the client, to evaluate the client's needs and plan for continuing services.

Administered drug tests, including random drug screens to offenders with active court/probation cases and to verify compliance with substance abuse treatment programs. Also tested teens and young adults who received ordinance violations in the surrounding cities of Will County. Collected DNA samples from clients receiving a felony conviction and sent samples to the state of Illinois to be put into the database. Planned and directed the maintenance, filing, safekeeping and computerization of all municipal documents. Coordinated and maintained office tracking systems for correspondence or follow-up actions. Testified in court if needed. Assisted IT with implementing a computer program that would get clients tested effectively and expeditiously. Collaborated with other staff to assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, or priorities.

Worked in various clinics, hospitals and job sites collecting blood samples from patients of all ages and backgrounds. Drew blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods. Drew blood from capillaries by dermal puncture, via heel or finger stick methods. Labeled specimens to be sent to lab. Organized and cleaned blood-drawing trays, ensuring that alll instruments are sterile and all needles, syringes, or related items are of first-time use. Collected specimens as specific time intervals for tests assessing therapeutic drug levels. Conducted blood alcohol, blood culture, oral glucose tolerance, glucose screening, or peak and trough drug levels tests. Trained other medical personnel in phlebotomy or laboratory techniques.
