I thrive with opportunities to build communities of all kinds then spur them into action for positive change. I advocate for common sense, human focused polices. As the director of Thriving Outside the Lines, a program built, activating individuals, agencies, and communities to look outside “the way we’ve always done things” and build projects and programs that are people centered. When we recenter on the people we serve, we make powerful changes for the people and the planet we love.I am LOUD advocate for policy in relation to children, education, hunger, homelessness, voting rights, equality, supporting our troops and our precious environment. Of my 6 amazing children, 3 have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum and one is severely speech impaired. I have spent more than 30 years involved with one stage or another of IEP programming, and am the team leader of the Grace project at Thriving, a network which recruits special education professionals who advocate for families in need of supports to navigate special education programs across the United States.
