An amazing team & I built it over 15 years before selling it to Active Interest Media, the owner of Backpacker, Yoga Journal, etc. I love route-finding and creating things. I'm a life & leadership coach (CPCC & ICF), motivational speaker & keynote presenter, leadership facilitator, adventure guide, writer, NOLS graduate, and a certified Wilderness First Responder. My office is a 100-year-old Wyoming sheepherder's wagon parked near the Popo Agie River, in Lander, WY.Mostly, I'm a "champion-for-hire." Someone who wants, or has, to climb a tall mountain (make, or endure, a big change in their life) will enlist me as a coach to help them make the climb. People hire me when they’re thinking about it climbing a mountain, or when they are in the process of climbing it.m Often I get “called in” when they’re already en route up the mountain but they hit a particularly difficult patch. They want to stay the course but could use some help. Rather than give up on the climb, they hire me as their coach and guide so they can dig in and finish the work. In other words, I’m not a helicopter that gets called in to conduct a rescue. I won't carry your backpack for you, but I might lighten your load during the tough parts. You hire me to help you be more daring and courageous, and to help you get through the crux.On a more personal note, I'm married to Jerry (30 years) and I'm the mother of three sons, Wolf, 23, Hayden, 21, and Finis (Fin), 16. And we have two awesome dogs, Buddy and Chewy, who are usually along. I love to hike (especially long-distance day hiking), travel, go on roadtrips, read, write, have meaningful conversations, experience awe, and have fun.
