This role involves ensuring that all aspects of the care and support of a service user are followed as detailed in the individual care plans; continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of care supervision and policy plans; implement and maintain the relevant standards required by legislation and health care guidance; championing for safety and dignity of service users; assisting and providing support with theservice users daily needs in conjunction with care workers and/or other auxiliary staff to cater for short term demand and/or shortages; delivery of life enhancement activities; being sensitive to the challenges of providing end of life care and supporting carers/family members of service users; engaging in the exchange of information and communication to meet identified needs and foster professional development; taking responsibility for the implementation of health and safety procedures; as well as liaising with professional auxiliary staff and family members of service users.

This role involves providing the following services to clients at Witima Health Centre: educating the community about managing chronic health conditions and making healthy choices; conducting research to identify community health needs with an aim to improve healthcare; promoting maternal health and prevention of child mortality rate by providing maternity services which enhance safe delivery; as well as instituting health and wellness programs on substance abuse and other health problems.

This role involved providing the following services to clients at Kiamuya Dispensary: educating the community about managing chronic health conditions and making healthy choices; conducting research to identify community health needs with an aim to improve healthcare; as well as instituting health and wellness programs on substance abuse and other health problems.

This role involved assessing and monitoring patients' health status; formulating care plans for new and existing patients; medication management including administration and monitoring of prescribed drugs; providing health screening services; as well as administering immunizations.

In this role, I interned as part of a team including psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, and social workers to: monitor patients in order to detect unusual behavior and report observations to professional staff; provide mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients with routine physical, emotional, psychological or rehabilitation care under the direction of nursing and medical staff; record and maintain records of patient condition and activity including vital signs, eating habits, and behavior; as well as aid patients in becoming accustomed to hospital routine.

This internship involved supporting the midwife during birth and the preparation for delivery, interacting with the mother during birthing, as well as providing postnatal care after the baby is born by reading basic vital signs and preparing medication.

During this internship, I gained valuable insight into rural health management by working under the direction of experienced nurses and nurse managers. The aim was to develop essential knowledge and skills, utilizing clinical experiences in care delivery areas.
