Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Shelly, and I’ve been working since age 14. I’ve attended three colleges, National Business college for Medical Assistance. PVCC for an associate degree in Business Administration, and Avery University for Sociology/minor in Criminal Justice. I’ve held many positions; from phone operator, pharmacy technician, dietary aide, maintenance supervisor, cashier, assistant manager, postal worker/automation clerk, assistant property manager for housing/liaison for eviction court preceding, teacher assistant, group leader, head bank teller, bookkeeping, daycare provider, housekeeping, healthcare field for over 40 years plus as a CNA, and med tech. I’ve been with Region Ten for over 26 years, and 11 months, assisting, providing, supporting, and having an understanding of what clients with mental illness go through. This has thus far been the most rewarding job, and a great learning experience for me. Everyday I walk into those doors of my job, I feel a sense of joy, and pride to be able to serve, and impact someone else’s life, as they do mine.
