Hired, managed, scheduled and trained ~22 work study students throughout the academic year. Created spreadsheets for the management and oversight of the libraries work study budget. Order supplies for the library and library staff. Manage the circulation of all library materials within the library. Create and implement displays relevant to the library, the campus, the nation, and the world for placement in the library. Delegate tasks and work for circulation student workers that involve them in a number of various projects throughout the library. Use the integrated library system Millennium by Innovative Interfaces for all library materials management and operations. Process all incoming and outgoing MOBIUS and Arthur books daily.

I started working at the Ottawa Library the summer after my junior year of high school. I was a librarian assistant at this point in time. Next I was promoted to an evening and weekend supervisor. ThenI was promoted to the Head of the ILL Department, where I used the Kansas Library Catalog to process all ILL requests. The integrated library system used for materials management was SirsiDynix. Working at the Ottawa Library was a great experience that helped me make the decision to pursue a career as a librarian!
