CurrentProvide direct patient care under the direction of the RN, consistent with hospital policies and procedures and unit based routines. Informs patient and significant others about treatment being received , equipment being utilized , in the coordination with the RN. Document care provided via computer. Performed skills of a Nursing Assistant , plus more advanced skills per hospital unit guidelines, including Foley removal, IV removal , Blood Sugars. Collects and monitors data and reports the patient and significant other in the coordination with the RN. Clean patient environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunction to the appropriate department / unit personnel. Transport patient to the special unit as directed via wheelchair, stretcher or bed.
