Senior Engineer
*Manage and develop programs for personnel training and development, recognition, diversity, performance appraisal, equitable and performance based salary administration to foster the highest levels of customer service, teamwork, employee involvement, continuous improvement, risk taking, and effective and efficient operations.*Assist in the management of the operational and business performance of Tampa Electric’s generation assets.*Extensive interactions with internal operating departments as well as various levels of corporate management.*Developing and implementing business plans and strategic initiatives to optimize long-term business performance of Tampa Electric’s generation assets.*Directing short-term resource availability, fleet optimization and overall operating and business performance.*Daily System Planning – Assess, communicate and execute the short-term resource availability plan for serving Tampa Electric’s load in a safe, reliable and economic manner; including unit status, expected unit runs, natural gas requirements, short-term outage plans, and storm mgmt plans. This involves communication and coordination with plant personnel, Grid Operations, Wholesale Marketing & Sales, Fuels, upper management and other departments. All communications must comply with the FERC Standards Code of Conduct.*Optimize Plant Operations - Provide day-to-day oversight and direction for Tampa Electric’s generation performance. This includes the day-to-day responsibility for coordinating, evaluating, and providing a catalyst to ensure optimal generation performance and profitability. Assist in developing metrics for goal achievement. Periodically meet and communicate performance status with plant personnel.*Maintenance Scheduling Plan - Coordinate with plants to develop short-term and long-term generator outage scheduling.*Provide leadership to facilitate throughout regulated generation the tactics and strategies which enhance overall execution effectiveness.
