My name is Shelly Wall and I am an educational leader with experience in building and district administration. I have provided guidance to a variety of stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, support staff, and administration on topics that positively impact the achievement and services for unique student populations.As a special education administrator, I developed special education guidance, lead a trainer of the trainer special education compliance team, supported special education case managers, coordinated federal budget expenditures and reporting, supervised more than 20 itinerant staff working in 13 different buildings. As a building level administrator, I worked with a state pilot program to embed multi tiered academic and behavioral supports into the school and influence state wide guidance for utilization of individual student based response to intervention data usage for special education identification procedures. I oversaw the district special education classrooms for children with significant disabilities, and supervised more than 60 professional and support staff working throughout the school. Colleagues know me as professional, knowledgeable. and an effective trainer of professional and support staff. I approach all situations from the viewpoint of, will this benefit students. I feel it is important to grow staff through targeted professional development and strong communication that includes listening and responding to staff inquiry. It is important for an educational leader to build relationships with the stakeholders in which they serve. I’m at my best collaborating with others as a team.I have a Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Wyoming, a M.Ed. in Special Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, a B.S. in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University, and an A.S. from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
