Establishing a sequential music program for grades 3k - 8th

I pioneered, founded, and directed an Arts and Music program across 6 school sites▹ Promoted by the Promise Academy Superintendent to execute and direct the programming vision, placing a focus on providing quality education for underserved inner-city youth ▹ Oversaw partnerships with the Manhattan School of Music, Juilliard, Jazz at Lincoln▹ Successfully secured multi-year funding (i.e., Ray Dalio Foundation and the ELMA Music Foundation▹ Supervised STEAM and Arts/Music Teachers▹ Implemented music into the academic program; introduced Recorder, Keyboard Lab, Band, and Orchestra Programs▹ Managed and allocated the departmental operating budget; provided quarterly reports to executive leadership (i.e., financial forecasts, new opportunities, and reductions)▹ Mentored Teachers in effective and positive-based classroom management strategies; formed an understanding of the relationship between academic and behavioral performance▹ Designed and executed a curriculum mapping process to integrate data, state standards, performance-based tasks, and hands-on activities▹ Expanded stakeholder connections through community partnerships
