I find it rewarding to once again be in a role where I can help people achieve their goals. As a real estate agent, I advise and guide home buyers and sellers as they navigate residential real estate transactions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.Below is a brief overview of my background that helps me provide my clients with exceptional, personalized service. Career Path: From Broadcast Journalism to Real EstateI didn’t start my career in real estate, but I’ve worked a wide range of positions that have helped me develop important skills I need to partner with my clients. My first job was for a local ABC affiliate in Nebraska. From there I moved to the QVC Network and eventually ended up in Texas working for Pier 1 Imports in their corporate office in Fort Worth. I was lucky enough to work with a local interior designer preparing design training for store associates so they could assist customers with “turning their houses into homes.” My last role outside of real estate was 10 plus years with the UNT Health Science Center and UNT System helping develop leaders.How do my past jobs help me as a real estate agent? In addition to working in roles that required a dedication to serving others, I’ve taught the theory and practical skills of communication, negotiation and persuasion, emotional intelligence, and motivation.
