I am a May 2016 Graduate from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology. Throughout the course of my education I have taken a curriculum in which I am knowledgeable in the field of health, research, and culture. I am well-educated in health education, minorities’ issue, cultural disparities, and women’s empowerment. I have acquired an interest in health education, specifically with traumas and mental health.Working as a Manager for 6 years at La Roja y Blanca LLC, I have developed valuable skill sets such as monitoring financial personnel, expenditures, understand the value of customer service, process of hiring, training, and scheduling, and enforcing sanitary practices. Through this position I have come to enjoy the aspects of directing and understanding the needs of the employees and customers, both of which are critical for a successful business. Helping individuals with past traumas and the study of Mental Health such as Addiction is an aspect of Public Health I am extremely passionate about. Through my various volunteer works in high school and college I was able to attain certain skills set such as patience, compassion, quick thinking, and the ability to handle high-stress situations with ease. Volunteering has been an important aspect of my life.Many of my free time consists volunteering, especially abroad focusing on minority and women’s health education. Helping others has been an important aspect of my life. I would like to advance my education with a Masters in Addiction. In my free time I like to read book on Addiction as well as inspirational autobiographies. I also enjoy making green juices and hiking. Currently I am seeking opportunities that will further my knowledge in the nonprofit field.
