God-honoring, driven to excellence, caring, tenacious, reliable, helpful, compassionate, and personable.My prior educational and career background led me to the medical field where I worked in medical transcription, registration, and insurance/billing.I’m currently following my lifelong passion of working with young children by obtaining my degree in Education and Child Development. My experience working with children dates back decades to my own children as well as within the church setting where I've worked with infants through college-aged students. I have practicum experience at Aces for Autism correlating with an Autism Technical Concepts course. Further, I am currently enrolled in Children with Exceptionalities to broaden my understanding and applicable techniques. I wrap up my educational journey in May 2025 with a capstone course. Upon completion, I will be able to apply NC Foundations for Early Learning and Development to demonstrate developmentally appropriate plans/assessments, appropriate guidance techniques and ethical/professional behaviors, including the use of appropriate technology, as indicated by assignments and onsite faculty assessments. I will be required to complete a minimum of 144 hours with a mentor teacher in an approved licensed childcare center or school setting.Our children need a strong, caring, moral, safe place to land. If I can make a positive impact in a child’s life, I can help change the world.
