CurrentObsidian Learning (aka Obsidian Technical Communications) develops custom interactive learning programs. This can range from experiential team training (face-to-face or remote), to self-serve web-based microlearning nuggets, to blended solutions incorporating several deliverable types and engagement methods. In any format, we design and create targeted learning that engages learners for skill development and behavior change that impacts performance. Clients range from startups to multinationals like Chevron, Deloitte, and Home Depot, with extensive energy sector experience.Duties as owner have included all aspects of the business: strategy, sales, marketing, contracts, account management, project management, financial management, quality control, production, building team culture, etc. With my team I have reinvented our business model, target market, core offering, staff structure, and office environment many times over the years, constantly evolving to meet new challenges and opportunities. Grew Obsidian Learning to 35 staff and $4.9 million in gross revenue.I have set strategy, scoped, designed, and managed development of training, documentation, and communication programs with local to global rollouts. Programs have included ERP systems, safety, business process, culture change, and more. We are skilled in extracting and structuring highly technical, complex content, and in developing custom training during agile (non-linear) projects.
