Shelly is a Native Floridian and lived in Boone, NC (after attending Appalachian State University and finishing at Stetson University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree.) for 35 years. She returned “home” In 2016. Shelly taught for six years in the public schools of NC. After teaching music she went into the travel agency business until the internet made your typical travel agent obsolete at which time Shelly taught preschool children for 3 years. When her own children became of school age she decided to look into a position in which she could continue to work with people as she is very much a people person. She found the REALTOR® position quite by accident as she and her ex husband were looking for a home. When the economy crashed, Shelly had to decide on a career change. She chose Nursing as she has always loved working with people and she will be able to make a positive impact on people's lives in this career choice.
