IPSL is one of the premiere project management companies within the gas and petrochemical sector in Trinidad & Tobago. They manage 14 petrochemical plants within the Point Lisas Industrial Estate including the Ammonia, Urea, Utilities, Ammonium Nitrate, Nitric Acid and Melamine plants at which I am situated.Currently responsible for the planning, monitoring and control of condition monitoring and preventative maintenance (CMPM) programs for all plant instrumentation and electrical assets. Foresight and mitigation of future challenges. Performance of root cause analysis of major issues that affect the complex. Adept at the application of relevant international standards and internal plant specifications to existing CMPM activities and new plant projects. Provision of knowledge of international codes and troubleshooting expertise to the respective plant teams. Assures the alignment of maintenance programs with the company’s quality management manual. Facilitates audits for ISO9001:2008 recertification. Acquired and applied the following standards into existing programs: NETA Maintenance Testing Specification, Neta Frequency of Maintenance Tests, IEEE Std. 81, ISA 84.00.01 and ISA TR84.00.03, ISA 18.2 and NFPA 70E. Initiated the following complex wide projects: Alarm Management, Control Valve Performance Optimization, Pre-emptive maintenance program for the complex’s twenty-one major power transformers (132kV through 480V).

Responsibilities comprised the specification, installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all plant instrumentation and electrical assets. This, inter alia, involved the planning and execution of work packages; budget forecasts; bid packages; projects within a team and supervision of internal and contractor efforts to ensure obligations were diligently performed as per project quality, schedule and cost baselines and with adherence to the relevant international standards and internal plant specifications.
