Participate in research projects designed to determine the toxicity of experimental or existing compounds. Plan, coordinate, and conduct laboratory studies to investigate the toxicity of various chemicalsvia oral, inhalation, topical or other exposure routes in animals and cell lines and determine the relative toxicity from exposure. Designs/modify experimental procedures, equipment, and techniques. Maintain readiness to include compound orders, issues, and proper disposal of hazardous waste. Develop, write, and update SOP's; and define responsibilities, procedures, safety, and operation of the laboratory. Act as GLP mentor for studies and hazardous materials/waste manager for assigned laboratories.

Perform a wide variety of complex laboratory procedures involving tissue research, cellular biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology; responsible for the proper organization, operation, and maintenance of laboratory procedures and equipment; perform laboratory research and investigations including but not limited to in-vitro and toxicology protocols , plan and carry out individual experiments as well as assisting with group experiments; devise and recommend alternative methods of analysis; perform tests and analyses by applying established methods and procedures; record, calculate, tabulate and statistically analyze data; prepare results of findings from experiments for inclusion in manuscripts, technicalreports, develop standard operating procedures, oral presentations, and progress reports; maintain laboratory notebooks; maintain chemical inventory and laboratory supplies and equipment.

Instruct Pharmacy program students on the nonjudgmental duties of a pharmacy technician in addition to preparing them for the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam by demonstrating the process of prescription handling and in-patient pharmacy tasks, specifically aseptic technique.

Provide outstanding service and patient care to Target Pharmacy guests. Work with a support system of pharmacy team members to achieve service and sales goals. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for procuring and distributing medications per physician request, pharmacist request or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols and maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures. Prepared chemotherapy and intravenus fluids for acute treatment of hospitalized patients including but not limited to total parenteral nutrition and intravenus antibiotic therapy.

Assist the pharmacist with preparation and delivery of oral and topical medications, and nursing support, experience with Med Select system.
