Responsibilities: • Successfully designed & developed new products including 19-inch, 24-inch, and 27-inch TFT-LCD color panels, and then sold them to Sony, Asus, etc. • Estimated optical performance via TracePro and measured components via Spectroradiometer, including optical brightness enhancement films, pattern on light-guid plate, penetration of the optical components, and also luminous intensity of LED backlight sourceHere are some of development experience: I served as an Optical Engineer in AUO for two years and had successfully designed & developed new products including 19-inch, 24-inch, and 27-inch TFT-LCD color panels, and then sold them to companies like Sony, Asus, etc. According to my development experience, the first thing was to understand specification of product and then started preliminary assessment including calculating chrominance, illumination, uniformity, penetration, etc. Secondly, I designed a pattern for the light guide plate, because it would influence the uniformity of illumination; and calculated & simulated an entire illumination of backlight module, since I should know how many LED should be used in the backlight module; and also chose proper optical enhancement thin films, because they would affect optical performance of chrominance & luminous intensity. Eventually, measuring all of the optical components via detector optical system (spectroscopy) was the final step, because I should confirm the result I designed through measurement. Consequently, thanks to practical development experience, I am capable to bring conceptualization to fulfillment through these processes of design, formulating, simulation, fabrication, and testing.
