Colleagues describe them as "I have known Sheng-Kai since 2022 January as a Lecturer in Human Factors and Cognitive Psychology at Cranfield University and his Individual Research Project supervisor. I have known Sheng-Kai since 2022 when he was completing his MSc in Robotics for which I was teaching the Psychology, Ethics and Standards module. Sheng-Kai has achieved an overall grade of 78% on this module putting him on top of his class. His attendance was perfect and he made a significant contribution to the class discussions. Information analysis, synthesis and evaluation, argument construction and conclusions generation, ability to formulate questions and find scientific methods how to test them – these skills Sheng-Kai successfully demonstrated in activities during the lectures, workshops, and assessments. Since April 2022 I had the pleasure to work with Sheng-Kai on his Individual Research Project as his supervisor. Sheng-Kai has received 78% on the project. In this project, Mr Peng has developed a model of how to predict trust in human-robot collaboration from physiological data (heart rate, EDA, fNIRS) and recorded facial expressions. Sheng-Kai designed the study, performed data collection, and processing and trained a machine-learning model to predict trust ratings during the Human-Robot Interaction. From the very first days, Sheng-Kai took a leading role in the experiment and was able clearly and efficiently communicate study needs to the other team members helping to run the experiment which demonstrates his ability to work efficiently in teams and as an individual. I was very impressed with Sheng-Kai's working ethic: he always was prepared, and highly motivated, and his work was of high quality and in advance of time. Sheng-Kai strikes me as a bright, motivated, and resourceful individual. He is always enthusiastic and optimistic, having a lot of drive for the work he is doing."
