For several years I have taught AIT 580 "Big Data: Analytics to Information," a data-science course in the M.S./Ph.D program, providing a technical and historical review of data science and enabling fields of machine-learning, deep-neural networks and artificial intelligence, and their use in commercial, scientific, governmental and other applications. Lectures also cover system acquisition, law and policy, and ethical issues, as well as the AI/ML technologies involved in collecting, mining, analyzing and using results.
