I recently joined Shepherd+ Wedderburn's Property and Infrastructure Disputes team, as a Senior Associate based in Edinburgh. I am focusing on this area, with a particular interest in telecommunications disputes, having handled a broad range of commercial disputes across a wide range of sectors while I was at Eversheds Sutherland (where I worked for the last 7 years). I have experience litigating in the Court of Session, Sheriff Courts and Lands Tribunal for Scotland, as well as using ADR to resolve disputes where it has been possible to do so.Additionally I play a competitive level of rugby at Cartha Queens Park rugby club and recently took on the role as Membership Secretary. I enjoy staying active, spending my weekends outside playing sport (rugby, golf, skiing, tennis - anything really) or exploring the Scottish countryside with friends.Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, I completed my training contract at HBJ Gateley (now Addleshaw Goddard), with 6 months seats in Dispute Resolution, Real Estate, Corporate and Corporate Recovery. Whilst there I led a team of 8 trainees who competed in The Prince's Trust Million Mak£rs competition to raise funds for the charity, we won first place in Scotland and raised over £20,000.Prior to that I completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Strathclyde University in 2014, having previously graduated from the 2 year accelerated graduate entry LLB course. I was President of the University's Mooting Society in my final year and was a member of the Strathclyde Law Clinic throughout my time there. Before that I completed an BA (Hons) in Criminology at Glasgow Caledonian University and won the BUCS league cup with the GCU Rugby Team.
