Computer Science Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad) Virtual Desktop Visualizer Version 1.0.0, A Product of JIN TECHNOLOGIES Private Limited, Islamabad, PakistanVirtual Desktop Visualizer consists of three components.Session Initiator Application (Mac OS X)Virtual Desktop Visualizer Server (Windows Family)Session Viewer Application (Platform Independent)The project was to develop Session Initiator Application for deployment on Mac OS X, which communicates with Virtual Desktop Visualizer Sever (on Windows) over a TCP/IP Network. The Initiator allows a Mac OS X & Windows user to start a Control or View session, and maintain communication with the Virtual Desktop Visualizer Server to allow viewers to see/control the initiating machine's desktop. Once a viewer has joined a session, the application will send "states" of the computer screens to the Virtual Desktop Visualizer Server in a specific format. For the control sessions, this application also listening to control action requests from the Virtual Desktop Visualizer Server and perform these actions on the local computer. Users also allowed to set session preferences that control the bandwidth utilization during a session. E.g. users able to set the screen transfer mode as 'colour' or 'black and white'.
