I’m on a mission to help small business owners take their life back and make it their own. The old way of small business is dead – there is too much complexity and too great a demand for time. However, there are ways to fix this and to grow your business with purpose and design. I want to ask people in small business to take a good look at themselves and their business and to ask the hard question of whether their business is giving them what they want out of life. Back in 2013 for me, the answer was ‘no’. Every day was just the same grind and I had long forgotten the reason why I started my business. My big catalyst for change was divorce. After being head down for so long, I chose to look at this as an opportunity to re-start. So, I took my business back to the foundations and rebuilt it with a clear purpose and vision. In rebuilding my own business and sharing my journey I had realised that nearly all of my own clients operated in the same way. Having built an enormous set of resources and connections, I worked with these clients and they achieved the same result that I had – business with a purpose and the freedom to pursue their own desired lifestyle.This is done by reviewing your business model and operating structure, maximising your revenue, improving cash flow and implementing set projects to direct your focus on the key areas your business.This has now grown into the development of a new way to do business through sixty:forty. Our new venture seeks to take big business concepts and make them accessible for all small business owners. We want to support connection and growth through collaboration, not competition.
