I was fortunate enough to be a 90’s baby! I’ve had the pleasure of watching technology progress all my life. When I got my first computer, I played a very well known game called “Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing”. Every day, I was so excited to insert the CD-ROM and play this game for hours. Call of Duty is no competition. This game taught me how to type not only with speed, but with accuracy. I eventually got so good at this game that it no longer seemed like a challenge. But I always loved to type! My passion for typing became amplified when I began an administrative role at the Division of Homes and Community Renewal. This position allowed me to test my typing abilities. With dozens of fields to complete, I quickly developed a rhythm as well as a routine. From paper format, every page was entered accurately and in a timely manner. Having a huge pile of paperwork that needs to be processed always excites me! My focus becomes so intense and unbreakable that some fellow co-workers started calling me “tunnel vision”, a “wizard” and a “machine” as well. I would be more than happy to proceed further with my career as a data entry specialist. My ultimate goal is to become a stenographer. This requires 118-225 WPM with 100% accuracy, but I am very confident that I can achieve this goal! I also have a very big passion for contributing to society, even in small ways. Helping a stranger, a co-worker, or a friend will always make me happy. If I were given the opportunity to be a data entry specialist for an organization that contributes to societal growth, I am 100% IN!
