I am smart and always striving to learn new things and accept new challenges. My goal is to advance in my Payroll/Payables career; with a focus on process improvements and new software implementations. I have a BBA with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in HRM and am currently pursuing a Master's of Business Administration. I am a Certified Payroll Professional and an active member of the national and local branches of Payroll Org; and a former board member of the Detroit chapter. I am also a member of IOFM and am an Accredited Payables Manager and a Certified Payment Reporting Specialist. I have experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday and most recently, Colleague. I was heavily involved in the implementation of the Workday system at Masco Corp. Transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday was an exciting and challenging step in my career that I am glad to have experienced. I have a strong payroll and tax background; utilizing ADP and Ceridian. I have supported as many as 21 FEINs in 49 states, Guam and Puerto Rico. I have also acquired knowledge in HRIS systems; testing, ad-hoc queries, and implementation. I am skilled in Microsoft Excel, and various other pertinent software programs. I am currently employed in the Higher-Ed industry and have faced many exciting new payroll and payable challenges here. I am an advocate for change and process improvements anywhere I go.
