I believe that I am a warm and empathetic counsellor/therapist and an Applied Psychology practitioner. I apply the tenets of psychology to the areas of Counselling, Education, Industry and Careers. To simplify,I use a mix of (CBT) Cognitive behavioral therapy (DBT) - Dialectical behaviour therapy, Interpersonal therapy (IPT) and Psychodynamic therapy (PDT) techniques to reach out and connect with people looking for counselling and therapy to resolve various issues that could include depression, anxiety, marital, relationships & family, emotional loneliness, self-esteem, motivation, stress etc.I help children to understand how education works for them, what learning styles best suit them, what kind of career paths are suited to them, by integrating psychometric testing tools. I help children understand themselves and help their parents understand and connect with their children by using counselling, psychometric testing and CBT/DBT/IPT/PDT techniques. I help organizations, understand their employees and integrate them with ease into their systems. . I support organizations organizing employee engagement programme, with workshops and one on one employee counselling sessions.My achievements include: - Being invited to feature in a children’s mental and emotional well being episode in the series Wagle Ki Duniya aired on SONY SAB - Episode No. 531. - My views are regularly quoted in popular magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Brides Today.- Certified Test User Occupation, Personality and Ability. - I hold membership with the British Psychological Society, UK. - Have conducted several off-line and online workshops on emotional and mental wellness for adults and children and career counselling for children. - Have associated with colleges in Mumbai as visiting lecturer and have been part of the paper-setting and examiner panel with University of Mumbai.
