Founder and owner of customized medical education consultation business. Services include, but are not limited to, mock site visits, accreditation consultation, data analysis, operations maximization, policy development, performance improvement, and DIO mentoring. Using decades of Medical Education experience at all levels (Program and institutional), I created this consulting service to assist teaching institutions with optimizing all areas of Graduate Medical Education. I have written two books to guide medical students through their clerkship and residency years. With my co-authors, we published a book on managing the resident to practicing physician transition and are working on a physician influencer book, to guide physicians on the continuum of their career.

Leading a team of medical education administrators in securing institutional and program accreditation through ACGME. Developing and implementing a new structure for corporate GME, including standardized processes and policies. Serving as Corporate DIO until a Chief Academic Officer can be recruited. Interim DIO and Corporate DME from October 2015-September 2017. Effective October 2017, my title changed to Associate DIO and Director of Medical Education for the corporation, but I remained the DIO on record with the ACGME throughout my employment here.

Responsible for the oversight and maintenance of all graduate medical education and medical student programs at an MSU affiliated teaching hospital. In the process of transitioning AOA accredited programs to ACGME programs in partnership with the corporate affiliates.Served as Interim Director starting September 1, became Director in December 2015. DMEs were renamed Assistant DIO in October 2017 with the corporate structure changes.

-Direct staff and oversee daily operations of 150+ medical students, interns, residents, and fellows. -Manage 20 budgets totaling more than $7 Million and work with Finance Department to maximize federal IME and DGME reimbursements -Responsible for the implementation of department contracts with individuals, hospitals, and universities. -Responsible for medical education orientation and development of educational programs -Recruitment of new interns, residents, and fellows.

In the event of an emergency where the Emergency Operations Center is activated. I function as a hospital liaison officer at the County or Lansing EOC.

MAME is an association of medical education administrators, program directors, and program coordinators for the state of Michigan. As President-Elect (2009-2011), my main role was to coordinate four educational conferences each year for the membership. As President (2011-2013), I managed the association, including ensuring educational conferences, networking opportunities, and vision setting. As Immediate Past-President (2013-2015), I serve as an executive officer and consultant to the current President and President-Elect.This association is the sponsor of the MAME House Staff Salary Survey. This is a resident/fellow salary survey including all teaching hospitals in Michigan, conducted by a third party (Michigan Health Council). In 2012, I developed a GME Staff Salary Survey with Gerri Navarre, a colleague from MAODME. Our organizations co-sponsored this survey conducted via the same third party. We published the first GME Staff Salary Survey report in January 2013.

Responsible for the Membership and Financial record keeping of the organization.

Tasked by TAGME with the creation of certification tools for national certification of ADME and Program Coordinators in Osteopathic Basic Standards. Founded a task force to create and pilot the certification tools. The process took longer than expected because of the unique design of Osteopathic medical education. The task force was divided into two task forces, one for each level of certification, and then recombined to a single certification and expanded to include other levels of medical education, such as OPTI officers. The certification tools were approved by the TAGME board in August 2012. At which time, the task force converted into a Specialty Review Board to oversee the certification process and annual assessment of the tool. TAGME certification of AOA Professionals began in the fall of 2012. Continued as Chairperson until after the 2013 Board of Directors meeting and stepped down to Review Board Member.

-Coordinate residency recruitment and all follow-up efforts -Coordinate new resident orientation with three hospitals -Develop and maintain evaluation processes, procedure manuals, and all residency related documents -Organize and document all continuing medical education conferences for AMA category 1 credit -Manage/coordinate information provided to external organizations (e.g. AAMC, ACGME, etc), including all credentialing documents and inspections -Administratively support resident travel and education efforts -Assist in building $1.7 million budget and analyze income and expenses for variances -Administer the daily operation of the program (i.e. schedules, conferences, meetings, purchasing, record administration, etc.) -Coordinate Annual Department of Surgery Research Forum which includes residents from all MSU Surgery affiliates ­ a total of five campuses. -Responsible for coordination of special events, such as graduation banquets, specialized trainings seminars, social outings, etc.

-Coordination of Junior and Senior Surgery clerkships across 6 campuses. Develop and maintain procedures for both clerkships. -Organize and administer Trauma Didactic Days for junior surgery clerkship -Researched and established clerkship online evaluation and grade reporting system -Train all clerkships assistants state-wide in use of new policies and online database software -Researched and established online standard patient curriculum system -Verify students completed all required training and process grades -Serve as the contact for all clerkship issues in the department.

-Initiate and harvest cultures, analyze chromosomes, and prepare karyotypes and reports for clinical patients
