About Sheri Meyer

I was promoted to the Director of System Benefits Administration January 1, 2023. I was previously the Associate Director. My duties include RFPs, contract and renewal negotiations, budgets and accounting for benefits, plan pricing for the self-insured plans, as well as working with the Associate Director and the executive team on strategic initiatives for benefits going forward.Previously, I was the Retirement Coordinator since March 2006. I still oversee the administrative duties related to the Texas A&M University System Optional Retirement Program (ORP) 403(b), Tax Deferred Account (TDA) 403(b), and Supplemental ORP (SORP) 415(m). In addition, I am the liaison for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), Texa$aver 457(b) DCP, and all other external entities regarding the retirement programs. I am also the subject matter expert for retirement eligibility for the A&M System.I am a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
