Lead efforts and innovations related to the oversight, development, and inception of undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate programs delivered at Rowan University’s main campus in Glassboro, online, and other off-site locations, including the University’s partner colleges, Rowan College of Burlington County (RCBC) and Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ). Manage and facilitate curriculum development for programs in the pipeline that meet labor market demand, collaborating with academic units to strategically integrate platforms that deliver “stackable” credentials into for-credit programs, providing feedback on market research efforts that drive program development, managing the launch of academic programs, monitoring and supporting curriculum design and approval of new programs, and participating in university-wide efforts to deliver new programs that meet regional and national labor market need.

Oversaw innovative academic program development, launch, administration, and maintenance. Built relationships with diverse external and internal campus constituents including Rowan University Colleges, University faculty, and academic leaders to serve an ever-growing population of adult, non-traditional, and contemporary learners seeking graduate degree completion offered through varied delivery modes and on the campuses of Rowan University.

Developed and managed projects and programs that supported advisement in the College of Arts & Sciences and Undergraduate Academic Services unit, supervising Academic Program Coordinators who served as advising liaisons to faculty in academic departments, coordinating advising efforts during events such as New Student Orientation (NSO), assessing student and advising needs within the college through enrollment management processes, overseeing graduation clearance, utilizing EAB Student Success Collaborative retention software for student tracking and outreach, giving presentations on advising-related topics, interfacing with various units on-campus to address student issues, leading and participating in working groups and committees, and other administrative responsibilities.

Teaching college success courses specifically designed for transfer students. Assisting with the development and delivery of this course, which is designed to facilitate a successful student transition to the university. Objectives of this course include helping students to understand the value of being a part of a university community, build college level research and writing skills, and develop an understanding of self and others in a diverse world and campus.

Directed day to day operations of advising center located in the College of Education. Supervised Academic Advisors and support staff by providing assistance, guidance, and intervention. Served as a liaison to the College of Education Dean’s Office to address academic issues and sensitive student situations. Provided reports and data regarding advising loads, assessment metrics, and student progress. Coordinated with University Advising Services across the institution to promote academic advising, provide professional development opportunities for Academic Advisors, and strengthen retention efforts. Worked with academic departments regarding program offerings and requirements. Delivered presentations to promote advising services at various campus events.

Served and advised 500 matriculated students in K-12 Subject Matter Education. Monitored completion of program and requirements for NJ Teacher Certification. Reviewed student academic progress through benchmarking, verifying Praxis I and II scores in Access databases, calculating GPA in Subject Matter Area, and verifying course completion. Coordinated with academic departments to verify program requirements and update program guides as needed. Built relationships with dual major advisors in academic departments to facilitate successful student program completion. Monitored enrollment in field experience courses and working with academic departments to provide seats for courses. Approved student graduation and certification applications upon successful program completion.

Coordinated the development and delivery of customized non-credit bearing professional development events on and off-campus through various school district partnerships. Oversaw all components of event coordination including scheduling presenters, printing brochures, room reservation and setup, catering, parking for guests, technical needs, handout materials, and follow-up after event. Served graduate level students and programs by scheduling information sessions, assisting prospective students, and providing guidance to new admits.
