As a national Vice President, led sports marketing and health impact strategy for America’s largest health charity. Oversaw national and global partnerships with major professional sports leagues, athletes, media and corporate sponsors. During her tenure, Ms. Barros spearheaded a 420% increase in revenue and managed a P&L with an 80% operating profit margin. Led a team managing an 8-figure annual portfolio of funding, including cash and in-kind media. Partners included the NFL, NBA, NHL, Women’s Tennis Association, Minor League Baseball, UFC, Fortune 500 corporate sponsors, player ambassadors, and drove close to $100 million in lifetime impact funding and media value fueling the ACS mission. Established a marketing growth strategy including organic social media and influencer marketing to drive brand engagement generating over 2B impressions annually. Elevated earned media and thought leadership via Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, Aspen Institute, Brand Innovators, The Player’s Tribune, and more. Strategic leader maximizing budget, directing staff and cross-departmental management of: strategy, marketing communications, entertainment integration, regional activation, and measurement of mission impact results. Impacting over 1 million patients by addressing health equity (the unequal burden of cancer in underserved communities).Represented the Society on the Global Cancer Network, a coalition of Corporate Partnership leaders from the top cancer NGO’s of North America & Europe including the UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and more.
