As an Undergraduate Research Intern at the Institute for Advanced Biomedical Research, my main role was developing an SQL database for the lab workflow to easily track experiment parameters for easy access, organization, and future data mining purposes. The final product was linked to a GUI using Python. My other work included assisting the lab by preparing buffers, monitoring samples, reviewing lab protocols, and assisting mass spec runs/troubleshooting.

The STARs (Student Teachers and Research Assistants) position is an undergraduate peer mentor program. Students in this role work with professors to provide immediate, hands-on assistance in class and hold virtual or in-person meetings with other students to cover class concepts. STARs are an instructional asset to helping students succeed in minor computational data science courses.
