Sheridan is a Homeless Services Navigator at Family Health Centers of San Diego, a medical network focused on providing quality care for uninsured, low-income and medically underserved persons. Sheridan conducts outreach efforts throughout San Diego County, connecting unhoused individuals to medical, mental health, dental, vision and substance use disorder services, case management services and other community resources. Sheridan also works closely with Family Health Centers’ Street Medicine and Mobile Harm Reduction Teams, providing safe and accessible harm reduction services to the community. In the field, Sheridan works to build rapport with individuals by providing empathetic listening, motivational interviewing and other modalities in order to build lasting, supportive bonds.Sheridan is also earning her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Alliant International University, where she later plans to begin her career as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) working with underserved individuals. Previously, Sheridan was an interior designer at Humble Design, a national non-profit organization providing custom interior design and home furnishings for individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness. Prior to Humble Design, Sheridan owned and operated Ramona Floral, a floral design and event production studio based in San Diego. Sheridan graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Public Relations and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship.
