NYC DOT Roadway reconstruction and bridge replacement project. Major work includes multi-staged construction to construct new pile-supported concrete abutments, concrete piers, composite steel stringer, concrete deck, elastomeric bearings and reconstruction of 900 feet of the Belt Parkway requiring soil surcharging to control settlements of proposed new fills. The limits of the project is along a major approach to JFK airport and within the Gateway National Recreation Area and Coastal Waterway, thus requiring strict maintenance of traffic and continued coordination with US Parks, NYSDEC, GNRA, and the USCG. Project cost: $125 M.

DASNY - Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center, Orangetown, NY. Assistant Office/Field Engineer for this new 56-bed facility including utilities, reinforced concrete foundation, steel superstructure, and building enclosure. This center provides an environment that supports a multi-faceted effort to improve clinical research and training in the field of children’s mental health. Construction cost: $48 M. (5/2009 - 10/2009)26th Ward Water Pollution Control Plant, Brooklyn, NY, NYCDEP. Civil Inspector. To further study the benefits of biological nutrient removal and the stripping of ammonia from New York City’s wastewater, the NYCDEP Bureau of Water Pollution Control constructed a complete nutrient removal pilot plant and ammonia stripping pilot plant.
