• Built a waterflood dashboard that combines data from Geoscout, PVR as well as surveillance data to aid in waterflood optimization.
• Identified areas where further injection can increase oil production. Put together monitoring program for those areas to capture changes in submergence post injection changes and execute speedups. Those pump speed ups.
• Identified producers’ stimulation opportunities (with 100 bopd uplift) to remove scale, wax or asphaltene. Identification was based on calculating theoretical productivity index and comparing it to actual values.

• Moved to Teine Energy due to Chauvin asset acquisition by TeineSenior Reservoir Engineer responsible for ~450 producers and ~180 injectors in a heavy oil field (API: 15-20). The total field production is ~6600 bopd.
• Optimized waterflood patterns through analyses such as (Voidage Replacement Ratio calculations, WOR vs Cumulative Oil Produced and Fluid Rate vs Water Cut trends) increasing oil production by 10-15%.
• Modelled inflow performance relationships for stacked zones of varying quality to guide Artificial Lift upgrade pump selection. Post upgrade, the wells produced successfully within 10% of the modeled rates.
• Built GAP models to model injectors equipped with Inflow Control Valves (ICVs) to continuously compare actual injection with model rates and pinpoint when valves need to be replaced when performance deviates.
• Built several PROSPER models to identify drop in productivity/injectivity to build business case for stimulation/well cleanout.
• Continuously monitored producers’ submergence post water injection target changes to identify speed ups. Those pump speed ups added 600 bopd of incremental production.

• Used my domain expertise to showcase the ability of MOSAIC to meet client requirements in areas of reserves management, economic evaluation, forecasting and field development planning. The clients were WCSB producers.
• Gather information and requirements from clients in regards to reserve evaluation, reserve management, type curve design, volume forecasting and field development planning workflows to put together software design.
• Responsible for completing technical related RFP/RFI questions and providing pre-sales support for prospects.

BP Secondee - Gupco, Cairo

• Conducting quarterly forecasts, tracking planned and unplanned losses from wells, gas lift compressors, pipelines and process facility.
• Built an in-house production dashboard for surveillance and monitoring using Power BI, instead of using a third party software saving $100k for the company.
• Responsible for Reservoir Management for a 150 mmstb oil field. An infill well was in the field development plan and I was tasked with assuring its proposed value. By building a history matched reservoir simulation.
• Increased production by 2000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) through proposing new perforations and re-perforations in existing producers. Selection of perforation zones was based on reviewing offset wells performance.
• Identified candidates for Bright water polymer flooding in injectors to add 1 mmstb of reserves, which is above the economic cutoff for project. Through identifying reservoirs with non-uniform sweep of water injection.
• Added 2 mmstb reserves by waterflood optimization, this included proposing well conversions and new perforations in injection wells.

END Reservoir Development

• Responsible for field development for a 2 Tcf gas field. Main highlights include:o Optimization of well count taking into consideration ultimate recovery factor and field economics was done by integrated asset.
• Prepared and presented annual resource reviews for five gas fields to defend resources positions (compliant with SEC regulations) to central reserves audit team.
• Engineered development concepts for new exploration prospects. Integrated asset model was used for profile generation to support preliminary commercial evaluation.
• Contributed to Zohr giant gas field Reservoir study through analyzing data and reports.
• History-matched simulation model of gas field using Nexus. Identified non-swept areas by aquifer for future NWD opportunity.
• Demonstrated excellent analytical and communications skills; accelerating my graduation from BP’s Challenge program from 3 years to 1 year.

• Tasked with identifying production backout due to connecting third party gas to our subsea network. The backout was used as a basis of allocating tariff to be paid by the third party.
• Exceeded asset production target by 6 mboed by production optimization using IAM model. As per the model results, some high water gas ratio wells were choked back to reduce back pressure in the subsea network.
• Identified that value of acid injection by bullheading using offshore vessel was marginal and project was parked accordingly. This included re-running simulation models with lower skin after acid stimulation to.
• Designed safe well operating limits to protect our well stock from erosion and sand production.
• Studied and implemented foam injection into flowlines to relieve back pressure on wells increasing production by 1 mboepd
• History-matched reservoir simulation models in Eclipse for use in reserves estimation.
