• Leads and collaborates in the design, development, and implementation of employee benefit and compensation programs for the U.S. Company, including a paid sabbatical program for part-time employees, paid vacation and other paid time off benefits, and defining full time employees for purposes of compliance with The Affordable Care Act.• Represents the U.S. interests in the design of corporate health benefits, welfare benefits, retirement savings programs, and executive benefits. • Assists HR functional areas of recruiting, orientation, engagement, and retention• Identifies and addresses key opportunities as related to benefit and compensation program competitiveness, relevant employee needs, and business requirements.• Manages benefit and compensation programs covering over 500,000 eligible hourly employees across corporate-owned and franchisee-owned restaurants; includes project management activities for twice yearly Open Enrollment. Activities includes: premium reviews, plan design changes, communication materials and distribution and delivery of those materials; identify and mitigate risks, vendor and broker relationship management, negotiating and managing vendor performance guarantees, and in coordination with benefits accounting, legal counsel and external plan consultants, ensuring the completion of required compliance filings (i.e. Form 5500, MA Fair Share reporting, payroll tax reporting). • Identifies and leads development and implementation of enhancements to the design, administration and communication of the programs.• Develops practical and impactful communication and decision-making tools for Owner Operators, people managers and employees, as related to all benefit and compensation programs. • Creates, coordinates, and delivers benefit and compensation education and training for over 2,000 Owner Operators, 8,000 company employees, and over 500,000 eligible hourly employees across corporate-owned and franchisee-owned restaurants.
