Engaged by QinetiQ Australia as an embedded Senior Consultant to Defence as a member of the CASG Future Systems Safety (FSS) team, with initial engagement supporting a portfolio of forty acquisition programs in aerospace, maritime, land, joint and other projects in the Capability Life Cycle phases Gate 0 to Gate 2. Between May 2018-November 2020, Sherill was embedded as the Systems Safety Manager-P-8A within the Surveillance and Response Sustainment Program Office (SRSPO) at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This role was the primary WHS lead for the P-8A platform on high-risk issues such as Problematic Substances and Sources, including Hazardous Chemicals, Radioactive Sources and Asbestos. Between November and the end of December, Sherill provided support to the Future Submarine Program's Seaworthiness Technical and Assurance Group developing the framework for the management of Problematic Substances and Sources.
