Serving Houston-area public school students since 1975, Kinkaid's EMSI Program is a 5-week summer STEM Program designed to give students typically underrepresented in the STEM fields an opportunity to learn more about and grow their interests in math, science, and engineering.As Director, I• Compile data for Annual Report• Generate statistics for the report • Review/ Organize budget for the report• Set the dates for the next year summer school term, testing dates, and application deadline• Update and print the brochure & flyers• Generate Information Packets for Houston-area middle schools• Post application/ information on webpage • Hire teachers/interns• Prepare resume packets and send to sponsors for internships• Compose a spreadsheet listing students, addresses, etc that will be used later for the admissions process • Send out invitations letters & postcards to returning students• Make decision about admitting new students into Level I, Wait list other qualified applicants• Update webpage with decision dates and information• Prepare/ complete student (level) / teacher class schedules (data file)• Receive and input data into spreadsheets for all three levels• Complete the bus lists for transportation• Set teacher salaries and generate contracts
