I had no idea I had a niche for multitasking until I landed my first Air Force civilian job in Ramstein, Germany. As a Guest Services Representative at Air Force Inns – Ramstein (“Lodging”), you take on many different roles. I was a call center agent, front desk receptionist, concierge, temporary housekeeper, room inspector, errand runner, and trainer. Balancing the tasks that came with these roles, allowed me to help take the load off of the various employees that worked at Lodging and meet the different needs of guests. Mastering multitasking at Lodging helped me develop my administrative and customer service skills to perform well in the call center, retail, and banking jobs that followed.I am the type of person who loves a challenge. So, when I am given multiple tasks to do in or out of my “comfort zone,” I am determined to complete them all showing my leadership that I am reliable and always willing to do my part and pick up the slack too. My ambitious nature has won me several awards, such as the Star Performer - 2012 Air Force Innkeeper Evaluation Award. My multitasking skills have not only helped me improve as an employee but also as a mother and a college student.Raising my son and attending college came with many responsibilities but like my previous jobs, I accepted the challenges. And as a result of my actions, I have a healthy and ambitious teenager, earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration, and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies. I feel positive that as I advance in Multidisciplinary Studies, I will advance in my multitasking skills to become a dependable advocate for my future employer.
