Sherita Perez writes and sings uplifting songs with her southern sweet voice, filled with jazzy intonation. Pulling from her Gulf Coast influences, Sherita melds folk, country, soul, and funk, with the intent of advocating for sustainability and community growth. Sherita has toured nationally and internationally, opening for Joan Osborne, and James McMurtry, and played the first cannabis festival in New Zealand (New Zealand Harvest Festival). Sherita often uses her music to push for cannabis and social reform and is often on the front lines of cannabis activism. Sherita works on family farms that use regenerative farming practices and resides in Humboldt County, California where she has been living throughout the pandemic, building a studio and recording new material with her band. As live music returns, Sherita Perez is also getting back on the stage as she is currently playing shows and planning a tour for the fall of 2021.
