I serve as a volunteer in many capacities and seek employment that continues to serve my community and world. After enjoying many years in the food service industry, particularly baking, I was able to spend many years as a homemaker and parent with my young children. I instilled the importance of volunteer work into my children’s lives and we spent time in food pantries, environmental actions, etc. The opportunity came along to serve our high-needs school as PTA President for several years, where we helped build community and improve opportunities for all of the students. When time allowed, I added serving as a substitute teacher in our school district. The need for this role is great, and I do my best to truly continue the lessons that the teachers plan. I have the opportunity to be a consistent and calm presence for many young people who might not have enough consistent and calm adults available to them. I believe in their potential and remind them of that daily.
