About Emily Sherman

Emily Sherman (she/her) is a non-profit management professional with nearly fifteen years of experience responding to the needs of diverse communities through advocacy and program implementation. Emily’s passions emerge at the intersection of sports-based youth development, gender equity, and cultural humility. Currently, Emily is the Managing Director of Finance and Operations at Soccer Without Borders where she provides financial and strategic oversight to SWB programs reaching thousands of refugee and immigrant youth across the US, in Nicaragua and in Uganda. Emily has been committed to serving her community throughout her career, having previously spent 5 years working in Baltimore City government, and 3 years serving in Peace Corps Zambia. Emily completed her undergraduate studies at Colgate University and earned a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she was selected as a Shriver Peaceworker Fellow.
