Editorial Intern
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
At Fave, as part of the editorial team, my job consisted of writing titles, descriptions and offer descriptions for the deals presented on the app and website. It was up to me to pick up any deals not assigned a writer and work at my own pace and initiative. I also monitored the various tracksheets (during my time at Fave, there were four tracksheets) to make sure there weren't any deals that were left without a writer, especially if there is already a partner manager assigned to the partner. It was my responsibility to make sure that any information that went in a deal description was not only creatively presented (my position was akin to a copywriter's) but also accurate. This meant that I was corresponding with a partner manager and the sales team to ensure I had all the information I needed to provide the most information I can for the customer. This also meant I was responding to requests from partner managers to change and edit the information on various deals throughout the day with a turnaround time of fifteen minutes. This required editing the information on the deal platform, meaning that changes to the information were immediately available on the app and website.I was also responding to onsite changes and deals that came in through email which had a turnaround time of four hours. This task required also writing deal titles, descriptions and offer descriptions. To put it in numbers, on an average, I: - Wrote up to 15 clients worth of deals and descriptions in a day (Each partner had an average of three vouchers, meaning I wrote at least 45 deals in a day)- Wrote up to five complete profiles, including a partner/company description, deal titles, descriptions and offer descriptions- Responded to at least three edit requests (depending on demand from partner managers)- Responded to at least three email/onsite requests (depending on demand)
